Tonight the 3-hour finale of season 4 of Lost is airing on ABC from 7-10 central.
Next Wednesday is the season 5 premiere of Lost!
Season 5 & 6 will be the last 2 seasons of Lost. Will they answer all our questions? Of all the mysteries and questions, what are you most wanting to know about?
( here's my list )

Keeping up as much as I can. I am tired after a busy weekend with visits from both sets of parents. It was a lot of fun! Pictures will come later once I've finished uploading them all.
This week Trev and I will be busy organizing, purging, etc. going through our basement and storage locker. We're planning on moving everything out of the storage locker by the end of the month.
Tv tonight:
Series Premiere: My Own Worst Enemy (NBC) This is the new one with Christian Slater.
Season Premiere of Little People, Big World (TLC)
Season Premiere of Samantha Who (ABC)
Yep, I'll be recording them all. I've gotta check out the new Christian Slater show. I wonder if the charachters he plays (yep, more than one) will just be Christian Slater playing Christian Slater. We'll see.

Hey, there's actually a bunch of season premieres and series premieres on tonight!
Series premiere of Kath and Kim (NBC)
Series premiere of Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday (NBC)
Season premiere of CSI (CBS)
Series premiere of Eleventh Hour (CBS)
Series premiere of Life on Mars (ABC)
I'm DVRing all of them to check them out and then will decide what to keep.
I am really looking forward to CSI!
Kath and Kim stars Selma Blair and Molly Shannon and is the U.S. version of an Australian comedy about a dysfunctional mother and daughter relationship.
Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday is exactly what it says it is. I wonder if it will be sort of a Daily Show type thing.
Eleventh Hour: A government scientist and his counterpart try to save people from deadly scientific experiments. Hmmmmm maybe like Fringe? Edit: This is also a remake! It's the U.S. version of a British show!
Life on Mars: This is the U.S. version of the British series where a present-day car accident mysteriously sends a detective back to the 1970s. Some of the actors on this show: Michael Imperiolo (Christopher on The Sopranos), Harvey Keitel (has been in a lot of stuff, but I recognize him from the National Treasure movies), Lisa Bonet!
What shows have you been watching? What do you think? I've cut my shows down and will let you know my final TV schedule once all the new ones have debuted. There's more coming next week and then I think we're done with premieres!
And from Monday's episode of Chuck. I love Chuck. This made me laugh:

So, October begins, and we are back to the gym.
Project Runway....I mean, come on, 4 again?
Tonight's TV:
Season premiere of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style (Bravo)
The only new episode of anything I'll be DVRing is Ugly Betty. Oh and Survivor. Tonight is the Vice Presidential debates. So, no The Office!
I am still in the mood to redecorate/rearrange. I have been moving stuff around the house here and there but no big changes. We've talked about rearranging the living room but I don't know how I feel about that yet. There are so many windows and doors that there aren't many ways you can arrange the furniture. So I dunno.
I think I'm going to make this Real Simple recipe for dinner tonight: Parmesan Pasta with Chicken and Rosemary
Cash has wanted to live outside a lot lately. We let him out and after a while he bangs on the door to be let back in. We let him back in. Five minutes later he is ringing the bells or scratching on the door to go back out! He loves being outside, but he brings back leaves and other parts of plants. Last night when I went to bed there was something on my foot. I threw the sheets off and turned on the light and it was a SLUG. GROSS. Little Mr. Slug must have accompanied Mr. Cash Howard into the house. Yuck. That better never happen again!
I leave you with a few photos from RenFest on Saturday.
Here we are

James and Michelle came from Fergus to go

I need to learn to smile

We all enjoyed our soup in a bread bowl

Fire!

Awww cute

Later!

Sadly I must tell you that the only season premiere airing tonight is the following:
Paris Hilton's My New BFF
I mean really? Not wasting my time with that one. Cringe-worthy I'm sure. heh.
We'll be watching Fringe. Don't know if any TV watching will happen tonight. Trevor has pool as he usually does on Tuesdays and I'll be doing the meal planning, couponing, and shopping planning for the next couple of weeks. Yesterday we went to Costco, one of our fave stores, to stock up on some essentials and then watched Chuck (every time I type "Chuck" I start to type "Church") and Heroes. I gave it another chance and this episode was much better than the last. I was sad to see "Weevil" go though. Veronica Mars forever!
Yes, I am a big dork.
I also realize that when I type Best I tend to type "Besty" because of my bff Betsy. Haha.

YAY it's Monday...or something. Trying to psych you into waking up...heh.
We had a good weekend. Watched the debate with friends and had a bonfire. Ate cheese and crackers and tried some new cocktails. Saturday we went to the Renaissance Festival with James and Michelle and afterwards M and I did some $1 scrapbook shopping (Big Lots and Target). Yesterday Trev was gone all day at a golf tournament thing put together by a co-worker. I caught up on my DVR'd TV (NCIS was ok, Ugly Betty was funny, the other stuff meh), organized in the office, did laundry, burned copies of mix CDs, etc. Cash Howard was my little buddy for the day. When Trevor got home we finished the night off by watching the final 3 episodes of Alias season 1. "The Man?"!!!
It's almost October, people! October! This week the weather is in the 60s. I'm wearing a sweater today because I love sweater weather. This week should be good. Not too much going on, and then Friday we are going to see Weezer at the Xcel. Fun fun. I've been listening to Weezer since 1995 or so and haven't seen them yet...as long as they don't play too much off the Red album it'll be good. "I am the greatest man that ever lived..." Huh?
More new TV this week. What are you looking forward to?

We're looking forward to watching Chuck! It was probably our fave new show last year.
There's really nothing new on TV tonight. So I'm wondering, what did you get a chance to watch this past week and what did you think?
Here's what I actually watched this week, with LOTS left on the DVR to catch up on:
Heroes
I wasn't a fan. I don't know that I'll watch again. It was just...bad. All around. And gross.
Law & Order: SVU
Weird episode. Luke Perry was on, as well as Sara Gilbert. That acting was decent, but the storyline was pretty lame. And the child actor- has gotta be a brat in real life!
Fringe
I liked it. I also liked that it wasn't too gross this time. I find it all really intriguing.
Project Runway
Suede was annoying but man did I want Kenley to go home! She is WAY too full of herself and so rude to Tim. Seriously.
The Mentalist
Pretty good series premiere and I'm planning on checking out the next episode to see if it's any good. It's replaying on CBS tonight if you missed it and want to check it out.
The Office
Loved it. It wasn't genius like I would consider some other episodes, but it was definitely good. I just hated feeling so awful for Phyllis! But Holly is pretty awesome, and the ending was pretty great.
If you don't want to be spoiled, don't watch the clips below. They're from last night's episode of The Office.

Season premiers:
Law & Order: SVU (NBC)
NCIS (CBS)
The Mentalist (CBS)
Without a Trace (CBS)
Opportunity Knocks (ABC)
Dancing With the Stars (ABC)
New episodes of 90210, Privileged, House, and Fringe. Not sure if Biggest Loser: Families is the season premiere or just new.
We've got our DVR set to record SVU, NCIS, The Mentalist, Fringe, and I'm still deciding on 90210 and Privileged.
I'm excited for SVU and Fringe, and am interested to see NCIS' new format. I've been reading that The Mentalist is sort of like Psych without the humor. Guess we'll see.
We watched Heroes last night. I complained most of the show...just about little things that should have been done differently, unbelievable stuff, and the grossness brought back. I guess I'm still annoyed that the plot of season 1 was a waste. In the finale Nathan and Peter fly off into space and die and Sylar dies. But they are all still alive and well. The whole deal with season 1 was getting Sylar, so why do they have to keep him around? We're in season 3 now and here he is again. And now Nikki is Tracy? What? No one that gets killed on this show actually dies...ever. It's getting old. Thoughts?

Hi everyone. Welcome back to another week! It really feels like Fall here now in Minnesota. This weekend was so nice and relaxing for the most part! We got to see family and friends, bake cookies, cook yummy dinners, watch a movie and some TV, etc.
We watched Vitus Friday night. Overall we liked it. It just dragged a bit in the middle. It's a Swiss film about a boy who is a brilliant pianist and just brilliant in general, who decides he would rather be "normal."
Here's the trailer:
I'm looking forward to J.J. Abrams (creator of Lost, Alias, Felicity) new show that starts on Tuesday on Fox, called "Fringe." But, man, another airplane? Most new stuff doesn't start until the end of the month.

There isn't much on tv at all right now. I have been watching Design Star on HGTV and 30 Days on FX (If you watch these, any thoughts?). Otherwise I catch some Jon & Kate Plus 8 here and there and watch whatever is on HGTV or TLC. I don't think I've watched TV in a week.
I'm pretty excited for Project Runway to start up again July 16th!
What are you watching/DVR'ing this summer?

*I'm getting close to finishing the scrapbook I'm doing of James and Michelle's wedding. I'll scan in some pages this weekend if I can make some time for it. I did a few pages last night and just have the reception photos left to do. Excited to get done and move onto another project. :-)
*I am really enjoying coupon-clipping. I don't know why I didn't do more of it before. Yesterday I spent $18 at Rainbow and saved $22. Yes, I saved more than I spent...and I got 2 bottles of conditioner that are normally $7 each for a total of $3 for both. At Walgreens I saved over $5 on 2 items, using store and manufacturers coupons. I still have to go to Cub Foods for the deals. Because I mostly plan on buying sales items that I can get deals on like this, we are finally caving in and buying a deep freezer. It's just a small one that we can easily keep in our basement. In the long run I am saving us a lot of money, and already have.
*Tonight we are going to Taste of India with Nate and Martha. It has been way too long since we've hung out! I'm really excited about going. I've only had vegan Indian food before, and want to try some lamb this time. What should I get?
*Tonight is the finale of this season's Project Runway! I think Christian will win, but I think he is a little whiny brat.
*Tomorrow Durwood and maybe Jen will be over for the next episode of Lost. Can't wait!
*Lately our cockapoo Cash Howard is going a little crazy. Anyone else have a dog that does this? He will just occasionally randomly stand up and start looking up towards the top of the wall and whine. At first we thought it was cobwebs or shadows or something, but it isn't. He has done it at our house AND at Trevor's parents house. He just started doing this last week or so. He will stand up for a SUPER LONG time and look around and cry. Sometimes it is in front of a window, but he isn't looking at the window. Sometimes it is in the corner of a room. Trevor has suggested that maybe he got bored with what he could see on his level and decided to start looking up? Yesterday he went in the bathroom, got on the side of the tub and tried to stand up! Of course he slipped and freaked me out. When we see him do this we tell him to cut it out and make him sit, but he does it again after a bit. My dog is weird. It needs to get warmer and lighter out ASAP so I can take him for more walks! But yeah, HELP! Anyone have any idea what his deal is?

I bet you are surprised I haven't mentioned anything here yet. Well here you go:
The strike is over!
What does this mean? I've been reading various stuff on the net, and for some shows it means there will be some new episodes this spring, and for others it just means waiting until the fall for more.
Some shows that are rumored to be back in March/April/May: The Office, The CSIs, Law & Order SVU, Ugly Betty, NCIS, 30 Rock, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, Brothers & Sisters.
Shows that are rumored to be coming back in the fall: Heroes, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Moonlight (how is this show not canceled yet?).
Shows that are rumored to be canceled: Bionic Woman.
There are many more, but this is what I remembered off the top of my head. Oooh here's a good link.
So what does this mean for Lost? From what I have read, they are thinking they will do 5 more episodes instead of 8 for the original total of 16 planned. This means putting 8 episodes of story into 5 episodes, for a total of 13, which might cut out some fluff. Who knows. The second half is also supposed to give us a bunch of answers, supposedly.
What have you been thinking about Lost season 4? I am loving it!
And, also wanted to mention that I finally got around to watching Away From Her. I watched it last night when Trev was at pool. It is a beautiful movie but so sad! I cried a couple of times and Cash came over and gave me many kisses and licked my tears away. He is pretty much the best dog ever. Anyway, the movie is sort of slow and jumps around a bit, but the acting and writing is superb.
Seen anything good lately?

( Lost )
So glad this is the weekend! Trevor has a lot of homework, and will be in a pool tournament tomorrow with Raef, so I'm looking forward to hanging out and watching movies and being crafty. Having the cousins and some random others over on Sunday for cards and the Super Bowl. I'm making chili, 7-layer taco dip, and jello cake for the twins birthday. Tonight I have to do some grocery shopping, and I'll probably make the taco dip and cake tomorrow night.
Movies I have at home to watch:
Away From Her. I'm excited to watch this because it is nominated for some Oscars, but also because it was written and directed by Sarah Polley. I grew up watching her on "Ramona" and "Road to Avonlea." I've seen her in a couple of other movies and she is excellent. She's a year older than I am, and her very first movie she writes and directs gets nominated for Oscars? So talented!
La Vie en Rose (La Mome). Marion Cotillard is nominated for best actress for this one, so I had to see it.
Hope you all have a fab weekend!

It's here! It's LOST day! We've been waiting for this for months!
For the best LOST on lj, go check out
ack_attck. Every Lost episode day the entries and comments are only allowed in all caps, and are dubbed "CAPSLOCKE DAY."
Here's today's entry. She did all three season recaps with screenshots, and I find them pretty funny.
Anyway, yeah, LOST!
Woo!
Have you seen this season 4 sneak peak? It is on the special features disc of season 3.
Interesting:

Interesting:
Saw Juno yesterday and loved it. The acting is great, it's perfectly cast, and the writing is really fantastic. There are sad parts, but mostly it's happy and funny. It isn't totally predictable, and it presents a story that isn't often the case. I have the main song stuck in my head.
USA has started playing the first season of NCIS, 2 episodes every Wednesday night. I'm pretty happy because I started watching this show in the middle of season 2 and haven't seen any of season 1 yet!
Tonight Medium is back on! I'm happy about something all new to watch!
We've been way too busy. That's life though, yes? Had dear college friends over on Saturday. More of that will happen in 2 weeks when Katie's in town from Baltimore.
We're going to CostCo this week. I'm getting ready for the baby shower at work on Friday. Thursday I'm going to a friend from college's TupperWare party. I've never been to one before. Sweet!
Also, this weekend we are most likely, together with a couple of other friends, participating in a 24-hour treasure hunt around the Twin Cities. Trevor heard about it from someone he works with.
USA has started playing the first season of NCIS, 2 episodes every Wednesday night. I'm pretty happy because I started watching this show in the middle of season 2 and haven't seen any of season 1 yet!
Tonight Medium is back on! I'm happy about something all new to watch!
